CICA 미술관의 아트북 프로젝트 “아트 옐로 북”은 아티스트들에게 독특한 전시 공간을 제공합니다.
기존의 전시 공간에 설치된 작품과는 다르게 아트 북은 쉽게 가지고 다닐 수 있고, 여러 사람이 동시에 공유할 수 있습니다.
또한 아트 북은 온라인 매체와는 다르게 직접 만지고 경험할 수 있다는 점에서 아날로그적인 매력도 있는 독특한 매체이기도 합니다.
“아트 옐로 북”은 아티스트가 직접 자신을 표현하고 스스로 미디어가 될 수 있는 공간입니다.
“아트 옐로 북″은 시리즈 북으로 국내외의 감각있는 아티스트들이 직접 디자인한 페이지들로 구성됩니다.
아티스트 한 명당 한 장(두 페이지)의 공간이 주어지며, 정해진 형식이나 제약은 없습니다.
해당 아티스트에 대해 더 알아보고자 한다면 QR 코드로 아티스트의 웹사이트를 방문하거나 아티스트에게 직접 메일을 보내실 수 있습니다.
CICA 미술관에서는 전세계 작가들이 참여한 아트 옐로 북 1호와 2호에 대한 여러분의 관심과 성원에 힘입어 전세계 관객들에 감각있는 한국 아티스트들을 소개하는 새로운 패러다임의 소통의 장을 마련하고자 “아트 옐로 북 코리아”를 기획하게 되었습니다.
본 프로젝트는 국내 주요 서점 및 미국 아마존 서점을 통하여 전세계로 판매될 예정이며, 예술 전시 크라우드펀딩 플랫폼 7픽쳐스 (http://7pictures.co.kr) 와 함께 아트 옐로 북 코리아의 크라우드 펀딩을 진행할 예정입니다.
또한 참여 작가는 CICA 미술관 “아트 옐로 북 코리아” 전시에 참여할 기회가 주어집니다.
[출판]
1. 아트 옐로 북 홈페이지 ( http://artyellowbook.com/participate ) 에서 페이지 템플릿 “Art_Yellowbook_Template_KOR.ai” 파일이나 “Art_Yellowbook_Template_KOR.psd” 파일을 다운받습니다. 일러스트레이터에서 작업시 AI 파일을, 포토샵에서 작업시 PSD 파일을 다운받으세요.
2. 일러스트레이터 혹은 포토샵에서 원하는 이미지와 글자를 배치합니다.
3. 책이 한국과 미국에서 판매 예정인 관계로, 글이 있을 경우 가급적 영어 한글 버젼을 동시에 실어주세요. 영어 한글 중에 한 버젼만 싣고 싶을 경우, 번역을 실은 웹사이트 주소와 QR 코드를 페이지에 추가해주세요.
4. 템플릿에 표시된 “이름”에는 본인의 이름을 (한글 이름, 영문 이름), “이메일”에는 본인의 이메일을, “웹사이트”에는 (웹사이트가 있을 경우에 해당) 웹사이트 주소와 해당 QR 코드를 삽입해주세요.
5. 편집이 되면 “Save As”를 눌러 작업 파일을 저장합니다.
6. “Art_Yellowbook_Name(본인 영문이름)”으로 저장해주세요. 일러스트레이터의 경우 확장자는 AI, 포토샵은 PSD 파일로 저장합니다.
7. 똑같은 방식으로 JPG 형식으로 저장해주세요. 화질은 최상(Maximum), 화소는 300 dpi로 설정합니다.
8. 작업파일 (AI 이나 PSD)과 JPG (초고화질, 300 dpi) 파일을 “cicamuseum.submission@gmail.com”으로 보내주세요. 이메일의 제목란에 “Art Yellow Book Submission -본인 이름”을 적어주세요.
* 모든 이미지의 색상은 CMYK 모드로, 화소는 300 dpi로 진행해주세요.
* 사방 4mm으로 여백을 남겨주세요. 재본시 잘리는 부분입니다.
* 글자는 꼭 “윤곽선 만들기”나 “곡선으로 변환”해주세요. (일러스트레이터: Create Outline)
* 포토샵에서 글자 레이어를 합치지 마세요.
* 검은색 글자가 있을 경우, “C=0%, M=0%, Y=0%, K=100%” 로 설정해주세요.
[전시]
참여 작가는 CICA 미술관 아트 옐로북 코리아 전시에 참여하실 수 있습니다. 프린트된 디지털 이미지 (10 x 15 인치), 영상, 인터렉티브 작업 등이 전시될 예정입니다.

선정: 선정된 작가에게 개별적으로 이메일을 통해 통보합니다.
*선정된 작가는 직접 크라우드 펀딩에 참여하여 6만원 이상의 후원을 달성합니다. 작가분들이 지인들을 통해 목표금액을 달성하셔도 좋고 직접 프로젝트를 후원하셔도 좋습니다. 후원 금액에 따라 책, 카드세트, 파티 음료 쿠폰 등의 리워드가 있을 예정입니다.

“DIY self-advertisement of artists through print media and crowdfunding”
“Release in the US and Korea”
CICA Museum invites artists to submit works for consideration for the art book project “Art Yellow Book Korea.” Art Yellow Book Korea #1, featuring South Korea-based artists, will be published and released in the United States and Korea. Featured artists are eligible to participate in the Art Yellow Book Korea exhibition at CICA Museum.
Each artist may freely organize two facing pages in the book, considering these pages a form of exhibition and advertisement of self and/or work. There are no rules or restrictions regarding the layout, design, or content, except that the artist’s name, email address, website (if applicable), and QR code should appear on the bottom right of the second page. You may include any text, drawings, and/or pictures.
In collaboration with an art exhibition crowdfunding platform, 7Pictures (http://7pictures.co.kr), we are planning to launch a rewards-based crowdfunding campaign for this project.
[Publication]
1. Visit Art Yellow Book website (http://artyellowbook.com/participate) to download a page template. Download “Art_Yellowbook_Template_EN.ai” for Illustrator or “Art_Yellowbook_Template_EN.psd” for Photoshop.
2. DIY design your pages in Illustrator or Photoshop.
3. On the bottom right of the second template page, enter your name in “Name,” your email address in “Email,” and your website in “Website” (if applicable), and replace the template QR code with your website QR code.
4. When you have finished editing, save your file as “Art_Yellowbook_YourName.ai” or “Art_Yellowbook_YourName.psd.” Make sure to include your name in the title.
5. Also save as a JPG format in maximum quality, 300 dpi.
6. Submit an AI /PSD file and a JPG file to “cicamuseum.submission@gmail.com.” Please write “Art Yellow Book Submission -Your Name” in the subject line of email
*Color mode: CMYK
*Bleed: 4mm (top, left, right, bottom)
*Please convert your text to outline by clicking “Create Outline” in Illustrator.
*Please do NOT merge/flatten type layers in Photoshop.
*Black text: “C=0%, M=0%, Y=0%, K=100%”
[Exhibition]
Featured artists are eligible to participate in the Art Yellow Book Exhibition at CICA Museum. Prints of digital works (10×15 inches), video, and interactive works will be exhibited.

Selected artists will be notified by email. Each selected artists will need to raise minimum $60 (USD) in the crowdfunding event.
