Staring calmly into grape leaves,
It reminds me of my mother’s hand.
Having raised 8 children,
Seeing her cracked, wrinkled and dried hands,
It reminds me of grape leaves that gave it it’s all.
To bear the coveted grapefruit,
Just like the grape leaves that endures the scorching sun and windy rainstorm,
Even today my mother picks up a small hoe and draws her masterpiece in her great vegetable farm.
