Wide or narrow, with no courtship of space,
A time in my life when I didn’t even have to worry about the money to buy a canvas!
There were childhood paintings, drawn with shards of porcelain, in the backyard of my country house.
Becoming an adult, expanding my art, traveling the world, and submerging myself in classical music,
I was young and made mistakes. Experienced pain and gave them as well.
Not god and especially not perfect.  Through frustration and sadness I was determined for a fresh adventure again.
And when that frustration settled down into something sweet, I finally leaped in joy.
And through perseverance and hard work, I painted in a narrow 50 square feet workshop for many years. Telling myself, “In comparison to Joong Sup Lee’s workspace, my workshop feels as big as the Pacific Ocean”.
I was thankful for the space, and those were precious times.
